The Code of Conduct for Corporate Governance

1. The fundamental principles of corporate governance need to be reflected in the different aspects of a Department’s functions. These aspects are identified as:
   • community focus;
   • performance management
   • structures and processes
   • risk management and internal control
   • standards of conduct

2. The left hand menu considers how the principles of corporate governance can be reflected in the above “aspects” and what that means for Departments in practice. The principles of each aspect are outlined in above pages.
