Manx Electric Railway and Steam Railway Condition Reports
Prepared for the Department of Tourism & Leisure
Following a number of incidents which occurred on the Manx Electric Railway (MER) during 2007, CDL were asked by the Department of Tourism and Leisure to propose a strategy to improve the management of the permanent way. The first part of this strategy was to undertake a survey of the Island’s railways to determine the current condition of the track.
