Publication of Modifications to the Area Plan for the South

Following the publication of the Draft Area Plan for the South of the Island in October 2009, and the publication of a Modified Draft Plan in January 2011, the Department of Infrastructure arranged for there to be a Public Inquiry in accordance with paragraph 4 of schedule 1 to the Town and Country Planning Act 1999, this took place in October and November last year and was finally closed in January 2012.

The Department of Infrastructure published the Independent Inspector’s report on the 17th February 2012. The Department has now considered the contents of that report. In light of this consideration the Department is now proposing to adopt this Plan with modifications.
