The Department of Health and Social Security has released for consultation, a draft of the Social Services Bill 2009 and invites comments from interested parties. A consultative document on the matter, which includes a copy of the draft Bill, is available for download via the link at the bottom of the page.
The principal purpose of the Bill is to state the powers and duties of the Department in the assessment and provision of social care services to both service users and carers.
