The purpose of this Public Sector Code is to offer practical guidance and assist Public Authorities on the implementation of the Race Relations Act 2004, and feedback is invited on how the Department of Home Affairs could refine the Code.

Paragraph 2.2 of Police Code E currently provides for the use of twin deck tape recording machines when recording police interviews. The Department proposes to make an Order amending paragraph 2.2 of Police Code E to enable the police to use triple deck tape recording machines for the purpose of recording police interviews.

Section 76(1) of the Police Powers and Procedures Act 1998 requires the Department to publish a draft of the Order amending the Code and consider any representations made in respect of it and a copy of the draft Order is therefore included as a downloadable document below.

The Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) Code 2010 is made under section 157(1) of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2008 and revokes and replaces the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering) Code 2008 (SD 935/08), as amended by SD 128/09. The Code contains anti-money laundering provisions in line with Financial Action Task Force’s Recommendations on money laundering and terrorist financing and accompanying methodology.

The Financial Supervision Commission has today issued a consultation on new draft Authorised Collective Investment Schemes Regulations which update the current requirements in order to maintain equivalence with the UK Financial Services Authority’s requirements and retain the Island’s Designated Territory status.

The Council of Ministers is seeking to invite comments on its recommendations which are contained in this document. The purpose of this consultation is to allow comment on the recommendations and to inform the Council of Ministers. Please note that a response does not guarantee a change to that which is proposed.
