The purpose of this consultation is to allow those who use Ramsey Bay or otherwise have an interest in the area to have an active input into the development of a zoned Marine Nature Reserve in Ramsey Bay. Responses are invited to the consultation document by letter or email. A quick and easy on-line questionnaire can also be used.

The Department has published the Modified Draft Area Plan for the South. This sets out the focus for new development within the South and includes detailed proposals to guide how this should take place. It also highlights those special areas which require protection. The Modified Draft Plan is made up of a written statement and a series of maps.

There are currently 736 motorhomes registered and licensed for use on the Islands roads and the Department regularly receives complaints about the inappropriateness of permitting them to park on residential roads for long periods of time, about the overall size of the vehicles and the amount of space they occupy on the road. The problems also extend to large vans that are kept in residential areas.
