The Isle of Man is a UNESCO Biosphere – designated under the Man and the Biosphere Programme.
The global aims of the programme are conservation, learning and sustainable development.
UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man delivers its work under its vision and strategy ‘Working Together for a Sustainable Future’.
This sets out a local layer of aims and ambitions that complement the global aims, under five headings:
- Economy
- Education
- Engagement
- Enjoyment
- Environment
