Find a postcode

The section will assist you in using the Postcode finder:

• Ensure the Search Screen is displayed by clicking on the Search title.
• Ensure the “Postcode search” option is selected
• Type in the full postcode to search for and click the Go button next to it or press the <Return> key.
• After a few seconds, if the postcode is found, a map centred on the centre of the postcode will be displayed.
• If the postcode entered is not found, a message will be displayed and you can try again.

Notes:

1. The search is not case-sensitive and you may use upper or lower case in the search box.
2. You should include a space between the external and internal sections of the postcode i.e. “IM1 1LE” and not “IM11LE” to avoid confusion.
3. The resultant map, at a standard map scale, will be centred on a single, central coordinate averaged across all properties sharing the same postcode. If a single postcode covers a large area, it may be necessary to zoom out from the map to see the entire area covered by the postcode.
4. Postcodes for commercial properties, which may have more than one resident company, and Post Office boxes will not always be recognised. Please refer to the Isle of Man Post postcode finder for details on these postcodes.
5. NB System Downtime: Please note that Street and Postcode searches will be unavailable 00:45-01:30 GMT/BST, Tuesday to Saturday to allow for system administration. The maps and remaining map tools will continue to operate as normal during these periods.
