This consultation exercise is designed to invite comments from the public on the issues in relation to candidate funding raised by the Independent Review Panel in their report and recommendations, on those responses to the recommendations made from the Governance Committee and the Council of Ministers. The Council of Ministers recognises the significance of the views of the public regarding the issues connected to funding of candidates standing for election to the House of Keys. Views are particularly welcome on the issue of advertising by candidates on Manx Radio and on the matter of limiting campaign expenditure by candidates, where the positions of the panel, Governance Committee and the Council of Ministers diverge. The Council of Ministers would welcome the views and comments of the public on any of the items raised in the report or in the responses to the report’s recommendations.
