Fish buyers and sellers
Any outlet or restaurant that wants to buy fish direct from a fishing boat, or anyone fishing commercially that wishes to sell their catch to consumers, is required to be registered as a fish buyer under the Sea-Fisheries (Registration of fish buyers and sellers) (Isle of Man) Regulations 2012.
The regulations cover the first sale of fish, which is defined as any fish or fishery products being sold for the first time.
If you are currently in the process of setting up a business and intend on purchasing first sale fish, please complete the application form and return it to the below address along with any other supplementary information.
Further information can be obtained by contacting the Department on +44 1624 685857 or email fisheries@gov.im.
